My girls call it sticker conference because we pick 3 words for them to listen for and every time they hear that word they put a sticker on a piece of paper under that word. By the end of the day their paper is usually full and they get a prize. This conference their words were: Repentance, Resurrect, and patience for Saturday. Then on Sunday the words were: family, Easter, covenant, and Eternal. The girls did amazing, and at dinner when Ki asked what their favorite talks were they mentioned stories that I didn't remember hearing, lol. (In my defense I had Rudy and he was adding stickers to his paper too. (=
On Saturday between sessions the weather was just too beautiful to stay inside and in PJ's. So here are some pictures of our outside adventure:
On Sunday we woke up and headed straight for Rudy's room, we had blown up about 25+ balloons the night before and threw them in his room. Once we got to his room and turned the light on he noticed all the balloons and was extremely excited. We closed the door and had about a 30 minute balloon party, it was great!

Surprisingly we only lost 1 balloon during the party. I think I was the only one that jumped, haha.
After the party, we went to rest in the living room, but the kids noticed that there was an Easter bag sitting in front of the door inside of Rudy's big dump truck. Then we knew the hunt was on to find the bags!

Daddy was the next one to find his. It was hidden nice and low cause he's so tall!
Bea found hers after Daddy, but Rae found it so I don't have a picture of her finding it in the basket of laundry she needs to fold, lol.

After we found our Easter bags decided we had plenty of time to color eggs before Conference started.
I really wanted a way that Rudy could participate in the coloring of the eggs without making a mess, so I did some research the week before and found this melted crayon eggs idea on pinterest. I was a bit worried about using hot eggs with Rudy but he only touched them once and then just had fun coloring after that.
This is how Daddy participated, legos! Haha
We then sat and listened to Conference, it was a great! I can't begin to express how much I love our Gospel and our leaders. I know in my heart that no matter what trial I feel I can't get through all I need to do is take a second and Remember Him and anything is within my reach.
After a great Spiritual Conference the girls and I locked ourselves in my bedroom to wrap birthday presents for Rudy. Daddy was doing the dishes and Rudy was sitting and playing on the iPad. Once we were done with the presents we came out of the bedroom and realized someone or something had snuck into our house! There were little plastic candy filled eggs everywhere! We called Daddy to the back of the house to ask him if he had let any critters in, and he said no that he was busy doing the dishes. We were shocked! But it only lasted a few minutes because we knew it was time to egg hunt!
We hung out and played with our new Easter toys while we waited for the afternoon session to start, and then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's after, so we could start Rudy's party.
We had hamburger and hot dogs, a Rudy favorite. He ate a small hamburger patty and 4 hot dogs! I don't know if I'll be able to keep this kid full for the next 16 years, lol.
After dinner it was time for presents and then cake:

I always make a blanket for the kids 2nd birthday, as no surprise to anyone, Rudy's was a Mickey one. And I couldn't be happier with his excitement about it.
I'm pretty sure Daddy won the best gift award though. Rudy's very first bike!
He got the hang of it pretty quick, he just needs to build some leg muscles.
I don't know what this face was, but it's the closest to a smile I could get, lol.
I hate using the flash, but it was just to dark to not use it. He did a great job blowing out his candle!
Well if you made it this far, thank you! We had a great weekend I just couldn't wait to share. I cant believe my little Rudy man is 2 and that his little sidekick is due in the next few weeks!
We are all super excited and just enjoying life.
