Last Wednesday we were supposed to find out the sex of the little bambino. But my dr got called into an emergency c-Section. So we scheduled it for the next available day that both Ki and mom could be there, which was this past Monday, the 11.
Well of coarse mom being the impatient lady she is, (Ki and I were anxious as well) decided to take us to her part of the hospital and try out her ultrasound skills. Well the ultrasound machine in the ER is not quite as advanced as the OB's since they're just looking for abbesses and fluid pockets.
We did find the baby and its spine, head, ribs, legs, arms, hands and feet. But it kept moving and we couldn't find the goods. When we would get close it would move or have its hand down there! Finally we got a good angle, and at this point KI had taken over and was running the machine while mom was taking pictures of the screen with the phones.
It was fun to see him figure it out. I swear this man can figure anything out, and fast!
So we got our shot and, it's a girl!
We spent all weekend trying to name our Grawe girl number 3! Nicole. Denali. Josephine. Lupita- moms choice not mine.
Monday came and we went back to the drs and we told her the story. She had a good laugh about it, she knows mom.
After we told her, mom said "I'll laugh so hard if it turns out to be a boy!"
At about that same moment the dr moved the wand and looked at us: "IT'S A BOY!!" Mom did a little jump, Ki's dimples have never been so big, and I cried. We are all so happy and excited, (Not that we wouldn't have with a girl, but you know...). We couldn't wait to tell the girls, Rae was upset we were having a girl. She's been wanting a brother forever. They squeezed and squealed, they were so excited.
We can't wait to see what Mr Rudy will look like. I'm so hoping he looks like Ki. I know chances are he'll have my dark features, but I so badly want him to look like Ki since Ki has been told he looks just like grandpa Rudy!
The only problem now is the middle name. I want George, and everyone else wants Winston. I'm starting to lean towards Winston so if we have another boy someday his first name can be George.
The due date is April 23, I usually go around 3-4 weeks early which would put us at dads birthday, March 22. So again Winston is probably the better choice.
So far he's getting pretty hyper. Still likes to stay low in the belly, but when he's out he's out! And I look huge when he's out. He is starting to get hyper and likes to bounce around.
The dr said he has big feet and is measuring about a week ahead of how far along I am. His chest also looked very big to me in the ultrasound. Which is what Ki's problem was when he was born.
That's our great news and we are excited, and nervous. A boy, like Bea and Rae could be the end of me, lol!
